How do I get to Springfields Events Centre?

Springfields Events Centre is ideally situated on the A16, adjoining the Springfields Shopping Outlet and Festival Gardens. We are easy to find using a Sat Nav, simply enter our postcode PE12 6ET (Road: Camel Gate).

The venue is a short distance from Spalding Town Centre, Bus Station, and Railway Station.

Is there a train station nearby?

The nearest Railway Station to Springfields Events Centre is in Spalding. Several routes serve this station, including a line to Peterborough, which connects with the East Coast Mainline. The Direct connection from Peterborough to Spalding takes approximately 20 mins. Find the latest station information, including departures and arrivals, on the National Rail website.

A regular bus service connects Spalding Rail Station with Springfields Events Centre.

Is there a bus service?

Bus services operate to Springfields Shopping Outlet (located 2 minutes from the venue) from Spalding town centre, as well as other towns and cities including King's Lynn and Peterborough.

What are my parking options?

The venue has a mixture of hard-standing and grassed (arena style) parking for over 500 cars, including three disabled parking bays. Additionally, the nearby shopping outlet has a further three car parks (clearly signposted once you drive onto Camel Gate).

Are there cycle racks available?

Unfortunately not. However, if you speak to a member of staff, they’ll ensure that your bicycle is stored away securely.

At the Venue

Do you have WiFi available?

We understand the need to stay connected during your visit, which is why we provide free visitor Wi-Fi.

Our free Wi-Fi is ideal for browsing the web, checking emails, or using social networks. This free service should not be used where the connection is integral to the operation of your event or exhibition stand. If you're an event organiser or exhibitor and looking for a faster connection, please contact our Events Centre Team on 01775 713253 who will be happy to talk you through your options.

Do you have an on-site cashpoint?

No. The nearest free cashpoint is located on the Springfields Shopping Outlet site - at the front of the centre on Camel Gate, next to the Information Point/Subway.

Do you have parent and child facilities?

Yes, baby changing facilities are in the gents, ladies, and all-inclusive toilets.

Can I bring a pushchair?

You can bring pushchairs but be aware that some shows can get very busy.

Is the venue accessible for all?

Yes, the entire venue is on one level, with ground-floor access throughout. It is suitable for wheelchairs and pushchairs. We also have a disabled/all-inclusive toilet (including baby changing facility).

Is medical assistance available?

Yes, we always have trained first aid staff available in the event of an accident or incident. Just ask the nearest member of staff if you require assistance.

Are there cloakroom facilities?

Sorry, no. Please speak to a member of the Events Centre team if you require assistance.

Do you have adequate toilet facilities?

The venue has a modern toilet facility including:

Gents: 11 urinals, 3 toilet cubicles (including one with baby changing facilities)
Ladies: 9 toilet cubicles (including one with baby changing facilities)
Inclusive Facility (including baby changing facility)

Can I vape inside the venue?

Sorry, smoking is not allowed anywhere inside the venue aside from our designated smoking areas. This also applies to e-cigarettes and vaping.

Is there an outdoor smoking area?

Our designated smoking area is in the Patio Garden beneath the striped canopy (clearly signed from the corridor).

Are dogs allowed at the venue?

Sorry, but only assistance dogs are permitted on our premises. We ask visitors to make sure their dog is either identifiable as a trained assistance/guide dog or that they can provide the necessary training paperwork for them if requested.

Dogs should always be kept on a lead/harness. Dogs should not be kept in vehicles unattended.

Are there any restrictions when hiring the venue?

Does the venue have air conditioning?

Sorry, the venue does not have an integrated air conditioning system. We do have several stand alone units which can be used as required. If you are organising an event, and are concerned about air conditioning, please contact our Events Centre Team on 01775 713253 who will be happy to talk you through your options available.

Accommodation

Does the venue offer on-site accommodation?

No, sorry but we able recommend local hotels/bed & breakfasts.

I’m attending an event at the venue; can I camp overnight in my motorhome?

No, sorry. We only allow overnight camping when part of an organised caravan/motorhome rally and in conjunction with hiring the venue for a dinner dance function.

Food & Drink

Can I bring my own alcohol to the venue?

No. Outside alcohol is not permitted as the venue is a licensed premises.

Can I bring my own food/catering to the venue?

Regulations regarding food safety and licensing laws mean that you cannot bring your own food and drink into the venue. This includes catering for events, bringing food into meetings, visitors and trade show exhibitors bringing food into the venue for consumption. Please do not be offended if you are asked to eat your food off site.

Is food available to buy on-site?

We have an excellent in-house catering team who can create bespoke menus for every budget and dietary requirement — freshly prepared in our own kitchens. During hobby/trade shows, our café facility is open and serving a wide selection of freshly prepared food and drinks.

Does the bar take card and cash?

Yes, the bar takes cash and card.

Security

What are your current security measures?

At Springfields Events Centre, we are constantly reviewing our security measures to ensure that they remain effective and proportionate. We work in partnership with our local police force and security company, often deploying a variety of resources to work alongside those of our team. These include several overt and covert security measures, so whilst you may not see all operational security activity, you should be assured that it is on-going, often behind the scenes to prevent crime and keep you safe whilst you enjoy your visit.

Please be aware that CCTV is in operation across the venue for your safety.

Are there any restricted items when visiting the venue?

Alcohol is not permitted as we are a licensed premises. Also, other items which may be classed as a security issue should not be brought into the venue. Please see our Terms and Conditions.

Please note, in line with the request of event organisers, your bag may be searched when attending a function.

What do I do if I see something that looks suspicious?

Our security teams work hard to keep you safe, please help them by co-operating with their requests. You have a key role to play in helping us by reporting anything that doesn’t feel right, for example, any unattended items or someone acting suspiciously. You can report anything suspicious to any of our security officers, the Events Centre Team, or the Police.
